The 2018 NEW ENGLAND RURAL HEALTH CONFERENCEOur Communities | Our Health - promises to be the premier rural health interdisciplinary networking and educational event in the region.  Our rural communities consist of over 2.8 million residents who require a healthcare environment that is responsive to individual and community-based needs.  Throughout the region and the Nation our healthcare environment is experiencing a time of transition in both the policy and practice arenas.  Our rural healthcare organizations are facing significant economic, environmental, practice and political challenges and they are responding to them with creative, efficient and effective community-based initiatives and unique healthcare delivery models.  This will be your opportunity to get updates on National healthcare policy initiatives and to learn from and network with your peers.

In addition to a keynote address and other plenaries sessions, the event will feature over 35 breakout sessions featuring: community-based groups and organizations, rural clinicians, health systems, researchers and community development leaders.  Presentations will highlight important updates on healthcare policy and community initiatives that can be replicated across the New England region.  In addition to offering sessions that are discipline specific (oral health, primary care, behavioral health and public health) we will also offer sessions focused on: ensuring equitable access to quality healthcare for all, improving affordability and value of healthcare and building healthy communities. Regional projects and initiatives will also be shared via our annual poster session.

Once again we will be offer networking opportunities and special programming featuring Federal and Regional Administrators.  Recent Annual Conferences have featured: FORHP (Federal Office of Rural Health Policy), SAMSHA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration), Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA), Office For Civil Rights (OCR),  Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Administration for Community Living, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). There will also be ample opportunity to network with our other attendees including community leaders, healthcare providers (general health, oral health and behavioral health), public health experts, healthcare policy leaders and industry consultants.

Finally, we will host an exhibit hall featuring regional organizations that serve as valuable resources and vendors who offer solutions to your unique needs.

If you are interested in becoming a speaker, poster presenter, exhibitor, sponsor or attendee we encourage you to explore the information on this site and to also contact us with any questions you may have.

We are already looking forward to seeing everyone in November of 2018!
